Good Friday: The pick-up service works great. The food is as we are used to it, very delicious. We are looking forward to Sunday.

The food was okay. I got cheese spaetzle as a vegetarian alternative. The cheese was nothing special, but the amount was good enough. We were there on Christmas Day. There were fifteen menus to choose from. Unfortunately, only one of them was vegetarian. Nothing was offered vegan. And in 2019 ...

Nice hotel centrally in Altensteig, rooms are nicely decorated, the breakfast buffet is something for everyone and the owners and staff are very accommodating!

The rooms are functional and simply furnished and equipped with everything I need: comfortable beds, a large closet, a deep table, wide chairs, a clean bathroom and of course a TV! The decor is in the style of the 80s (for example, fabric lampshades and dark wood), but this fits in well with the house. Unfortunately, there is no elevator, but there are only 2 (or 3?) Floors. The restaurant offers regional cuisine and Swabian specialties. And that really tasty! Also, foods that you do not find so often these days, like sour kidneys or tripe. But also to the point fried rumpsteak or Schweinemedallons. And the prices are reasonable. Only the wireless / mobile network is weak.

We were after a Qdyssee closed or overcrowded economies for the first time in the grape. But not for the last time. Really delicious and food. Wirtsstube still as before, but makes the charm.

I would like to add something to Mr Hochgreve's comment, as I was part of the group that evening: It was one thing that there was obviously a communication problem here regarding the food supply for 100 guests. A completely different matter, however, was that we received really outrageous answers from a male waitress. It is highly unprofessional to tell a guest who asks about their meal after 1.5 hours (it was a sausage salad - not a big deal, actually) that they are welcome to get up and leave if they don't like it. This is not how you treat guests - stress or not. I am confronted with customers (also very sensitive ones) every day, including complaints. After such an action, my boss would at least demand an explanation and an apology. As for the possible misunderstanding about the food supply, I will investigate. Best regards M. White

I'm only talking about the restaurant but I assure you that the authentic German menu is sublime! Be careful, no menu in English or in French but that's the charm, right?

Does not look like an outside restaurant, but it's very good. I even went there twice to eat the traditional German dishes.

Accommodation no win, wi-fi works occasionally. I was very disappointed with what I tried to eat and drink.

Deliciously well-bourgeois eaten. Service at my table was fast, also the food came quickly. However, at other tables of our registered group (40 people) only the order was taken when our food was already served.
